Vegas gets a lot of e-mail and likes to hear from her friends and fans. Sometimes, we get some really interesting or touching stories about other people and their pets. Their stories are retold here for your enjoyment. Thanks for visiting Vegas the Cat.
"Evin loves the sink plug. We have three for the bathroom sink and two for the bathtub. Recently all three sink plugs were missing. This is a bit of a tragedy since he and his big sister 'Cleo' prefer to drink from the sink. To prevent Evin from taking the plug we usually fill up the sink with so much water that he would have to wade through it to remove the plug. Unfortunately, he managed to get a hold of all three and hide them. One plug was found under the bed and another was found in his cat kennel (it was still in there from his last trip to the vet - the big snip! He is much smarter now that he has been 'tutored'!). The third one didn't show up until we returned from work later that day. It seems that he and Cleo don't sleep all day after all! Evin is an avid fetcher...he especially loves playing fetch with 'mousie' but a sink plug or a rolled up sock will do in a pinch. Heather "

"Ok, just one more thing- our tortie is addicted to grain! We've noticed this in contrast to the meat, milk, and avocado-loving vivien. Any tortillas left out (we use flour, I don't know what she'd do with corn) will have her little fang marks, pieces missing, etcetera. She has busted into bags of flour, any baked goods, & even vietnamese rice paper wrappers!

We stayed in a hotel when we first moved to san diego, & I first noticed her funny habits then. I got an english muffin downstairs in the "continental breakfast" area, toasted it without putting any spreads on it, took it up to the room on a napkin, and the next time I looked for it, the napkin was curiously empty.

In the corner of the hotel room i soon spied little suqoo with the muffin, which the little villain had been happily nibbling. She was really tiny at the time, & I still dream of what she must have looked like, dragging that thing down to her "lair." Alright- I've become one of those people who won't shut up about their cats. -selene "
