Some people who are used to playing in Western Casinos might get intimidated when they first see a Sic Bo table. It seems so complicated what with the elaborate betting table. However, in truth, playing Sic Bo is very easy and, if done right, can net you a decent amount of profits.
Sic Bo Explained
Sic Bo is an online casino game that originated in Asia. It’s quite a popular online casino game in the casinos that can be found in Macau. Recently, however, Sic Bo has been rapidly gaining popularity in Western Casinos as well.
Its gameplay is very simple and straightforward, and can be understood easily even by first time players. It’s played with three dice.
The best way to explain its betting system is to divide the table into four parts.
At the bottom of the table, you’ll find the single bets. Here you can bet your chips on a certain number. If one of the dice comes out with a number corresponding to that which you chose, you’ll be paid 1:1. However, if two of the dice land on that number, you’ll be paid 2:1. Now, in the event that you get all three dice to show the number which you bet on, then you’ll get a payout of 3:1.
At the middle of the casino table, you’ll find a series of numbers. These indicate the sum of all three dice. The payouts depend on the number you chose. Of course, those which are more probable have a lower payout than those with lower probability.
At the top of the table, you’ll find the most highly specific bets. There, you’ll be betting on specific three of a kind dice combinations. Their payout is 150:1 so it’s basically the highest paying bet you can make on Sic Bo. Of course, one need not explain how difficult it is to win at such odds. If you win, you’ll win big – that’s a given. However it’s a very big IF you win – which is unlikely.
Finally, at the upper corners of the table are the Big and Small bet. You’re basically betting whether the sum will be small (4-10) or big (11-17).
The big and small bets are the best bets that you can possibly make in an online casino game of Sic Bo. They have the lowest house edge and are highly practical. The more difficult bets, though, are extremely impractical even if they do pay out well. So, my advice is to choose the big/small bets and to stay away from the more complicated ones if you’re after a profit.
